The Ear Works 4 software can also be licensed on a subscription basis. You can either buy it outright or pay monthly. Here's how it works:
The subscription fees are:

$150/month first office, $100/month per additional office
$250/month first office, $175/month per additional office
$350/month first office, $250/month per additional office
- Flat subscription fee (see below) + $25 per extra user.
- There is a minimum 2 year contract; if you go out during these 2 years you still have to pay the remainder.
- The fee is fixed for the duration of the contract. If you want to make sure you have today's price for the next 5 years, you'll have to sign a 5 year contract.
- For contracts over 2 years, the penalty for leaving the contract early after the first two years is only 50% of the fee for the remaining time. So if you have a 5 year contract and decide to leave the contract 2 years earlier, the penalty is only 50% of the applicable fee for these 2 years.
- Ear Works Inc reserves the right to change the monthly fee according to market changes and product improvements.
